Job Summary:
The Studio Content Valuation team is responsible for providing the valuation of all Studio content on the Company's direct-to-consumer platforms, including films from Disney, Lucasfilm, Marvel, 20th Century, Searchlight, Pixar and Walt Disney Animation.
Lead the Studio Valuation and Ultimates teams by setting strategy, identifying industry trends, considering windowing strategies, and determining valuation methodologies to properly value content. Develop and update individual film ultimate forecasts.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the Studio Valuation team by setting strategy, identifying trends, and validating models and valuations performed by the team
• Partner with Legal, Business Affairs, Finance, Content Sales, and other teams to ensure alignment with the overall Studio strategy
• Develop the policies and standards for Content Valuation modeling
• Collaborate with Content Valuation teams across the company to ensure sharing of best practices
• In partnership with Legal, represent Studio in potential legal proceedings, articulating the Studio valuation approach and methodology
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to validate ultimate financials to calculate amortization schedules and potential impairment analysis
• Develop and mentor team of 7
Basic Qualifications:
• 12 yrs experience in financial analysis, finance and/or consulting role
• Strong communication skills
• Strong ability to manage and analyze large data sets
• Comfortable rationalizing and justifying decisions made and processes implemented, yet flexible with switching direction if conditions dictate
• Experience with Data Analytics programs and tools (regression analysis, Tableau)
Required Education
• BA/BS in Business, Mathematics, or other quantitative disciplines
