Job Summary:
Walt Disney Animation Studios (WDAS) seeks a Senior Paralegal to draft, review and negotiate contracts and provide general legal and administrative support to WDAS with particular emphasis on production and studio matters. This includes: drafting and negotiating contracts for motion pictures and studio activities under attorney supervision; providing counsel and assistance to studio personnel on matters relating to legal policies; preparing summaries and reports; assisting with data entry and maintaining files, forms and databases; and assisting the Business & Legal Affairs team with other special projects as may be necessary from time to time.
Responsibilities:
? Draft, review and negotiate agreements for WDAS and the Animation Research Library under supervision of an attorney.
? Draft, review and negotiate motion picture agreements and amendments for actors, writers and consultants as well as post-production agreements and sound library licenses under attorney supervision.
? Draft, review and negotiate agreements for studio activities, programs, operations and events under supervision of project attorney.
? Compare and proofread agreements and related materials.
? Prepare legal correspondence at direction of attorneys.
? Respond to legal inquiries; raise and escalate legal issues as necessary.
? Maintain library of agreements and contract language, e.g., ''gives'' database.
? Assist the attorneys with the preparation of memos for each motion picture production.
? Work closely with the attorneys and studio personnel on issues arising in motion picture production and other studio matters.
? Track and prepare reports relating to status of agreements and agreement terms.
? Perform special projects, research and other related duties as assigned or requested.
? Such additional, alternative, removed or changed responsibilities as may be directed from time-to-time by a supervisor, with or without advance notice.
Basic Qualifications:
? Minimum of four years of experience in contract negotiation. Experience with entertainment production and motion picture industry strongly preferred.
? Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience in a law firm or studio preferred.
? Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
? Fluent in English.

? Excellent written, verbal, analytical and organizational skills.
? Must be detail oriented, with accurate input and proofing skills.
