Job Summary:
Walt Disney Animation Studios has been combining the best in artistry and storytelling with cutting-edge technology to bring wonderful new characters and adventures to the big screen for audiences around the world. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition to join the team at our Burbank, CA studio.
The Sr. Manager of Talent Acquisition will be responsible for leading, mentoring and developing the recruiting team for the placement of top-tier talent in animation production for Walt Disney Animation Studios. This role will drive the creation and implementation of talent acquisition programs and strategies that address immediate and long-term staffing goals. The ideal candidate will help transform the recruiting team into a high-performing function in tight partnership with the business while continuing to build the talent pipeline for a world-class studio.
Responsibilities:
• Lead, mentor and develop a resourceful, proactive service and solution-oriented recruiting team for full cycle recruiting including outreach, sourcing, interviewing, negotiation of offers and relocation packages
• Create robust staffing strategies balancing show and studio priorities
• Partner with business leaders to develop a deep understanding of hiring needs for the studio
• Set recruiting goals/expectations, monitoring performance, and guide the recruiting team to meet those expectations
• Collaborate with hiring managers/business leaders to create and execute recruiting and outreach strategies that cater to the varied needs while establishing best practices
• Lead efforts for diverse and inclusive hiring practices
• Partner and build strategies for all Outreach efforts, conferences, festivals related to talent acquisition
• Responsible for creating recruiting budget and managing costs
• Drive talent resource forecasting and succession planning to ensure proactive candidate pipeline
• development across all teams
• Assign searches and recruitment-related projects to in-house recruiters
• Manage and optimize the daily recruiting activities
• Partner with HR, IT, Facilities and Finance in all aspects of the candidate and new hire experience and ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding process
• Determine proper mix of sourcing strategies to ensure creative recruitment of quality candidates (e.g. internet, social media, referrals, media, professional associations, university relationships, etc)
• Partner with The Walt Disney Studios Talent Acquisition teams for building talent pipelines, best practices to upgrade and implement new functionality of company ATS and ensure the integrity of data within applicant tracking platform
• Define, track and analyze weekly recruiting metrics and develop practical tracking and reporting methods
• Manage new hire offer process and ensure compensation packages are competitive with market and industry standards
• Incorporate The Walt Disney Company's core values into the recruitment process, focusing on the identification, selection and retention of a diverse workforce
Basic Qualifications:
• 5 years' experience in Recruiting role with an emphasis on creative/artistic and/or technology skill sets. 2 years' experience leading a Recruiting team
• Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to quickly establish rapport, build credibility and create partnerships at all levels within the company
• Proven ability to effectively manage the recruiting process as well as relationships with hiring managers
• Strong customer service, consultative and partnering skills
• Deep insight into creative and technology recruiting, with an understanding of animation, visual effects, video game and technology candidate marketplace
• Proven ability to stay abreast of market and competitive trends
• Strong knowledge of common human resources practices, employment and immigration laws and/or government compliance regulations as it relates to recruitment and hiring
• Experience recruiting in a high-volume environment, closing complex positions, negotiating compensation packages, and building an innovative and sustainable talent acquisition strategy
• Demonstrated success in implementing creative methods to source and attract passive candidates
• Ability to prioritize and work within a fast-paced evolving culture
• Must be self-sufficient, driven and passionate about making a difference and contributing to the success of the company
• Collaborative style with ability to work in a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to coach, empower, engage and develop talent
• Proactive ability to identify and resolve challenges prior to escalation
• Able to travel and attend after hours networking events, seminars and career fairs
• Personable, supportive and encouraging
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Advanced knowledge of Internet, especially search functionality on job sites
• Strong knowledge of CRM/ATS systems

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
