We are looking for a Software Developer with a passion for learning, the aptitude for dealing with changing priorities and quick turnarounds, and a desire to help create the best tools for our pipeline and filmmaking applications. If you are an engineer interested in working across the full stack of software development and across multiple languages with all of our Studios, then this may be a great fit for you!
Geographic Location: This role is a Burbank, California-based position, with the intent to return to office at a later date to be determined. However, consideration will be made to qualified candidates for the following locations: San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; Atlanta, GA
Responsibilities:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement
• Develop tools and processes for data feeds and consuming other data sources
• Build testing structures along with unit, regression, and load testing
• Provide regular reports are needed for analytical purposes
• Collaborating with the front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience
• Developing ideas for new programs, products, or features by monitoring industry developments and trends
• Recording data and reporting it to proper parties, such as clients or leadership
• Taking lead on projects, as needed
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field
• More education or experience may be required
• Fluency or understanding of specific languages, such as Java, PHP, or Python, and operating systems may be required
• Familiar with Business Intelligence tools such as MS Power BI
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools
• Focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement
• Excellent project and time management skills
• Strong problem solving and verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently or with a group
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVES)
• Experience working in front end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Experience working with database languages and architecture
• Previous experience working in a Feature or Streaming Production environment
• Previous experience working with Finance or Operations teams
REQUIRED EDUCATION
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or related technical discipline
