Job Summary:
Coordinate, attend and facilitate all aspects of recording sessions for animated series and pilots. Support the casting department by participating in talent scouting and cultivating relationships with performers and their representatives.
Responsibilities:
• Schedule recording sessions in consideration of production deadlines as well as the availability of talent, studio and director.
• Compose and distribute memos with recording session details for all show personnel.
• Oversee the prompt arrival of all parties at record sessions.
• Provide scripts for performers and production staff at record sessions.
• Execute talent contracts and related paperwork (Day Player Agreement, I-9, W-4, Corporate riders, SAG Daily Time Report, etc.)
• Provide voice references for talent.
• Serve as a liaison between recording studio personnel and production staff.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with talent agents and managers, producers, directors, story editors, script supervisors and recording studio personnel.
• Track talent credits through production process and ADR to ensure accuracy and residual payments.
• Assist with technical aspects of in-house recording, including some audio recording and editing, etc.
• Schedule, attend and oversee audition sessions: generate audition sides, greet talent, prep dialogue director, etc.
• Organize audio files and maintain casting database.
• General office duties (filing, faxing, copying, etc.)
• Attend talent showcases, plays, comedy & improv shows for talent research and relations
• Scout movies, TV, internet to be familiar with potential performers.
Basic Qualifications:
• Strong leadership and proven project management skills
• Self-starter with a creative and energetic approach
• Ability to manage projects from development to completion
• Great communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle heavy schedule coordination
• Computer expertise including Word, Excel, databases and calendar software on multiple platforms (PC and MAC).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in entertainment industry (internship would apply)
• Talent Agency and/or Casting experience
• Passion for animation, casting, film and TV
• Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
