Associate Project Manager - Data Analytics (Project Hire)

Studio Operations is comprised of multiple disciplines related to the postproduction of our films. This includes localizing formats for global theatrical release, ensuring consistency and continuity in the voice and representation of our characters in media formats worldwide, ensuring secure delivery of films to exhibitors, retailers, and homes worldwide, converting of classic film content into digital formats, and managing of all Walt Disney Studios production and postproduction facilities (including sound stages and the Digital Studio).
The Walt Disney Studios is looking for an Associate Project Manager, Data Analytics to provide analytical support for strategic initiatives across the Library and Technical Services organization, documenting current processes and providing opportunities for improvement, communicating key metrics in support of team objectives on the proactive management of resources, onboarding new post production workflows, and reporting mechanisms for quality management. This is an 18 month Project Hire.
Responsibilities:
• Gathering project requirements and managing workflow to meet strategic business needs.
• Documenting workflows and identifying process improvements.
• Creating data visualizations and dashboard summaries for executive-level management.
• Project / product management & ownership (full documentation of requirements, hours, expectations, roadmap)
• Creating and executing code for data manipulation and visualization (ETL's, SQL). Providing support for troubleshooting data, code, and visualization errors.
• Providing executive-level summary of projects & metrics.
Basic Qualifications:
• 3 years' experience in a professional capacity in related areas of expertise
Preferred Qualifications:
• Data visualization experience (Tableau, Domo, Power BI or equivalent)
• Workflow visualization experience (Visio or equivalent)
• Workflow & Operations Analysis
• SQL (Python or /R is a plus)
• System development process (agile method)
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject or the equivalent in a working environment
Preferred Education
• Undergraduate degree in IT Project Management, Communications, Industrial or Systems Engineering, Business / Operations Management, Finance preferred.
