Health Services Internship, Spring 2020
We are…. Walt Disney World Health Services facility, overseeing W alt Disney Parks and Resorts Cast Members, Crew Members and Imagineers. The Health Services team is responsible for deploying the overall health strategy for Walt Disney Parks and Reports as determined by our Corporate Benefits team.
Responsibilities:
• Supports routine and general administrative duties associated with the day-to-day operation of the WDW Health Service Facility
• Monitors and restocks office supplies when required
• Provides communications support by answering the phones and providing answers to Cast Member questions or directing their calls appropriately
• May work with Cast Members to schedule clinic appointments
• Monitors incoming messages and voicemail to provide timely responses to inquiries
• Supports clinic throughput, process flow and daily activity levels for Admin job tasks
• Ensures patient walk-in questions are appropriately addressed and responses rendered to inquiries regarding services
• Reviews and evaluates medical documentation submitted via walk-in to ensure completeness; Ensures proper scanning and indexing of all incoming notes and medical documentation received
• Uses critical judgment skills to escalate matters of priority
• Updates Management on patient thru-put, wait times, emergent needs, issue resolution
• Interfaces with Cast Members in a timely, respectful manner
• Ensure questions are appropriately addressed and responses rendered to inquiries regarding next steps
• Uses critical judgment skills to escalate barriers for efficient resolution
Basic Qualifications:
• Demonstrated proficiency in general administrative activities and job duties
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience in general office programs and equipment
• Positive team player with an enthusiastic attitude and a strong service orientation
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer service, time management and organization skills
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with management team in the completion of business needs
• Demonstrated critical judgment skills to escalate barriers for efficient resolution
• Demonstrated interest in working in the healthcare industry
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience in working in fast-pace medical office or similar environment

• Enrolled in a college/university or have graduated from college/university within the past six months

Internship Eligibility:
• Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from college within the past six months OR be currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
• Not have already completed two consecutive (spring/fall) College or Professional Internship Programs
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
• Must provide full work availability
• Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work
• Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
Program Dates: The approximate dates of this internship are January through April 2020. Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.
Housing: This internship is located in Florida. A limited amount of company-sponsored housing is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
