We Are...
The Disney Strategic Meetings & Events team based at Walt Disney World Resort. We are responsible for the planning and execution of events and trade shows that are designed to provide immersive product updates and education to multiple Sales channels, supporting all domestic Disney Destinations. Additionally the team is responsible for all internal events hosted by various Walt Disney World executives as well as various other internal events within the Walt Disney World Theme Parks and Resorts.

Some of the responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Sales Channel Events Internship:
Opportunity to support various Sales Channel events, with a focus on logistics for client training events:
• Plan, manage, and execute various Sales Channel training events including Agent Education Programs, FAMs, Resort Site Visit and Ship tours
• Responsibilities include: itinerary planning, budget management, hotel room block management, ordering needed Catering/entertainment/audio visual, and ordering theme park admission tickets
• You will partner with key external and internal partners
• Support various sales initiatives
• Provide excellent guest service and communications via phone, email, and in-person
• Office environment with computer data input, phone coverage, and email interactions
• Creation of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
Executive Events Internship:
Opportunity to serve as a contact for key internal events at Walt Disney World Theme parks and resorts
• Serve as the services contacts for internal Cast/clients hosting events, primarily in the Walt Disney World Theme Parks
• Responsibilities include: facilitating equipment pick-ups/deliveries, budget management, ordering needed Catering/entertainment/audio visual
• You will partner with key internal partners
• Provide excellent guest service and communications via phone, email, and in-person
• Office environment with computer data input, phone coverage, and email interactions
• Creation of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
• Support Event managers on larger events, as needed/required

Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior Participation in the Disney College Program
• Previous experience in event planning, event execution, or training
• Fluency in the Spanish and/or Portuguese language, both verbal and written
Required Education
• Currently enrolled, or graduated within 6 months, in an accredited college/university as a junior or higher, majoring in Marketing, Event Planning, Communications, Training/Education or related major
Additional Information:
Internship Eligibility:
• At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
• Must provide full work availability
• Must provide own transportation to/from work
• Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
Program Length:
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2020 through January 2021. Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.

Housing: A limited amount of company-sponsored housing is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
