Exercise Specialist (Seasonal)

The Exercise Specialist will communicate member/client concerns, facility issues, and program issues to management. They will develop health education material that can be used for wellness seminars and events while supporting the wellness initiative and being a key resource for the implementation of these programs.

Responsibilities

• Implementation and design of proper exercise routine
• Physiological assessments and orientations to fitness members
• Individual personal training and/or teaching exercise class
• Maintain clean facility
• Provide tours to potential members and talk membership guidelines
• Assist with health lectures, health fairs and expos
• Assist with special activities or events as needed

Basic Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft and other computer programs
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proven self-starter and ability to balance multiple priorities with minimal direction

Required Education

• Exercise physiology, kinesiology major or closely related field or personal training certification
• Group exercise certification
