HR Advisor, DPECP 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Job Summary:
A newly created opportunity to join the HR function of Disney Parks, Experiences & Consumer Products (DPECP) group on a 12 month fixed term contract basis.
The Advisor will work as part of an expert HR team supporting the HR Director and Senior HR Business Partner in providing comprehensive and professional support to the DPECP business and cast members within The Disney Stores; including employee relations, performance management, absence management, annual salary and bonus reviews.
Responsibilities:
• Own appropriate employee relations conversations and end-to-end processes; collaborate with key stakeholders including Legal, Health & Safety, Occupational Health, Payroll and Loss Prevention. Escalate to HR Director/Senior HR BP as necessary
• Partner with and provide support and cover to the other HR Advisor
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to assist with the development, introduction, implementation and communication of agreed policies and Disney initiatives
• In partnership with the Senior HR BP, apply knowledge of and work within the approved headcount numbers and associated processes
• Accurately produce, collate and distribute HR correspondence and presentation materials as directed and within agreed deadlines. Ensure that confidential and sensitive information is treated accordingly
• Support the HR Director and Senior HR BP with key projects and initiatives for the department. Strive for continuous improvement of process through evaluation and offering suggestions
• Partner with the HR Analytics team to accurately produce and distribute employee life cycle data reports. Report key findings and proposed actions to the HR Director/ Senior HR BP
• Support the Senior HR BP and Stores HR team with employee relations matters; give advice and guidance and note-take for fact-finding and formal procedures
• Own the administrative level recruitment; organise and run assessment days, prepare and collate relevant activities and assessments and book meeting rooms. Continuously explore opportunities for process improvement and best practice
• As required, in partnership with the Learning Center of Excellence, coordinate logistics and required bookings for meetings, events, and training programmes. Ensure required materials are produced and shipped in a timely manner
• Communicate to Cast Members through multiple channels (email, phone and social media platforms as appropriate - Yammer). Communications include refreshers on policy and procedure, now starring and other HR announcements
• Manage and maintain the Development Library promote awareness and use and make recommendations for new titles
• As required coordinate the updates of the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) in collaboration with key stakeholders throughout the business
• Own and be responsible for administering the purchase order (PO) process - track PO/ P Card information accurately and efficiently, liaising with internal and external suppliers where necessary to resolve issues and ensure that vendors are paid on time
• Arrange, coordinate, and communicate all travel itineraries & bookings for the HR Director and be responsible for processing expenses as a SAP proxy in accordance with Disney Travel and Entertainment Policy
• Understand and implement HR policy and procedure

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience of working within an HR function and with highly sensitive and confidential information essential
• Experience of note taking and advising on employee relations matters, essential
• Experience and confidence of applying HR knowledge and practice
• Proven ability to build relationships and influencing across levels
• Experience of working with SAP would be highly desirable
• Experience of MS Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
