Human Resources Coordinator (PH)
Job Summary:
HR Coordinator for Walt Disney Imagineering acts as the main point of contact for client-related questions around HR practices, policies and processes. The Coordinator performs a wide variety of tasks and duties within the framework of HR/DI objectives and services. This role is responsible for assessing, prioritizing and acting on client requests and communicating needs that require additional support to the appropriate source. Finally, the HR Coordinator is also responsible for proactively providing support to Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) with key projects.
Responsibilities:
• Triages Client Questions / Concerns - Provide front-line guidance/support to Imagineers; escalates issues as appropriate; Connects Imagineers with Global HR Operations to facilitate answers to questions around payroll, time off, leave, retirement, employment verification, work rules/arrangements, educational reimbursement, etc.; leverages familiarity with D Tools HR to triage issues that should be escalated to Global HR Operations
• Organization Management - Collaborates with HR Specialist to facilitate the WDI organization and position changes to include providing expertise on SAP organization structures, assignment of appropriate roles, identifying and communicating potential downstream impacts, workflow options in a project driven organization, and compensation roles; support WDI HR team during semi-annual Resource Planning implementation
• Project-Hire (PH) / Temporary Assignment (TA) Tracking - Responsible for project hire tracking and auditing for compliance to include conducting monthly audits with Finance; leads audit meetings with key functional partners (e.g. Finance, Legal, Menu Planning, Recruitment), HRBPs, and Studio leaders to identify and elevate issues for resolution; As the point of contact for Finance, tracks TA assignments for compliance with approved funding and guidelines
• Contingent Workforce Planning Liaison - Acts as the client liaison for client workforce management request – new requests, extensions, deactivations, access issues, etc.
• Global Mobility Support - Support of domestic global mobility inclusive of: completion of request forms to include contact with relocatees, submitting requests, and tracking end dates for potential extensions and funding approval
• Onboarding and Separation Support - Coordinate efforts with Recruitment for new hires and transfers and supports client with onboarding needs/questions; integrates with key partners (e.g. WDI Office Services, Communications, Finance, Safety); support WDI Orientation as needed
• Reporting Support - Conduct research / data collection and creates and maintains ad-hoc reports
• Key Project Support - Assist HRBP and HR Specialist with key projects as needed
• Scheduling Support - Calendar meeting and organize schedules as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum two years' experience in Human Resources or related field
• Understanding of Disney HR systems (e.g. SAP), policies and processes (e.g. contained within D Tools HR)
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills and attention to detail
• Proven knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
• Technical / analytical aptitude to support reporting work and tracking efforts
• Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills; client-service focused
• Ability to work independently and escalate issues in a timely manner
• Ability to trouble shoot, handle complex issues, and frame up solutions
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• High level of professionalism including the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
