We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Production Training & Development Coordinator to join our studio located in Burbank, CA.
Summary of Job:
The Production Training & Development Coordinator will be joining a team focused on supporting WDAS artists and crew in creating the best animated content, developing their skills and enhancing their craft. The coordinator will play an active role in executing training events such as classes, screenings and workshops, as well as maintaining our resources such as our learning management system, library and art studio, and helping create and execute digital communications with the crew. The coordinator will also be a pivotal center of support for the team through calendaring, reporting and data management.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
The coordinator will be on hand at most training events to facilitate taking attendance, onsite needs of speakers or instructors, communicate with projection and technical staff, handle any required aspects of food ordering/catering for event lunch or other meals.
Greet speakers, providing building tours as needed
Work in several databases to track events and resources, and create reports
Maintain all training calendars, proactively keeping training events from overlapping, making sure spaces are booked, look out for potential problems
Point of contact for artist models and instructors, including scheduling, submitting invoices, etc.
Invoice and contract support
Conference room booking, guest pass requests
Source and oversee catering and other outside vendors for training events
Maintain our library of books and films
Order art supplies and other supplies as needed
Create posts for our internal website
Send weekly email communications to the studio
Create keynote presentations
Maintain department webpage
Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will demonstrate these required characteristics and skills:
• Minimum of 3 years experience in an event planning or project coordinator role
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize project workflow and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Capable of working within a collaborative team environment as well as independently
• Sound work ethic with positive can-do attitude
• Curiosity, a life-long learner
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
• Experience with Google Calendar and Google Drive
• Proficient in Keynote
• Bachelor's degree with an applicable area of focus or equivalent experience
Desired Qualifications
The successful candidate will ideally bring knowledge of the following subjects to the role:
• A knowledge of animation, particularly Walt Disney Animation history
• A knowledge of film history
• Familiarity with fine art supplies, techniques
• Some experience with graphic design/web design
