We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Music Editor to join our team onsite at our Burbank, CA Studios. Be a part of the magic as you dive into each evolving project at Disney Animation.
The Music Editor reports to the Supervising Music Editor.
Responsibilities:
• Cutting the temp music for all current theatrical and Disney+ productions under the immediate supervision and direction of the Supervising Music Editor (hereafter referred to as ''SME'')
• Working under the managerial direction and guidance of the Senior/Lead Music Editor (hereafter referred to as ''LME'')
• Collaborate with SME and LME for meeting the music editorial needs of the Marketing Department, Disney Character Voices, as well as any other ancillary departments within the company
• Responsibilities also include but are not limited to handling of data transfer between music and picture editorial, gathering, digitizing, categorizing and logging content for the music editorial film soundtrack library
• In the absence of the SME and LME, the Music Editor may be asked at certain times to oversee the feature music editorial tasks at hand or be asked to serve as the on-stage Music Editor during certain dub stage sessions
• Reach a level of confidence to work with the Lead Picture Editors of each feature production independent of the SME and LME's supervision
Required Qualifications
• 6 + years experience in a Feature Film Temp Music Editing Capacity
• 3 + years Editorial experience in Temp Music Editing for Feature Animated Films
• Advance technical knowledge of Pro Tools software
• Understanding of Animation pre-production, production and post production processes
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Film, Digital Media, Audio Engineering or other related field, or equivalent work experience
The pay rate for this role in Burbank is $60.53 - $66.58 per hour based on a 48.60 hour work week. This is an IATSE Local 700 position covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
