Digital Sales Account Manager - Mid - Level
VP RECORDS (NY) - Queens, NY
VP Records is an independent label and music publisher that specializes in reggae and Caribbean music. The company maintains a catalogue of over 1,200 albums and 15,000 tracks and releases an average of 30 new albums per year. VP Records has offices in Jamaica, New York, Kingston, Jamaica, Miami, London, Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro and Johannesburg.
We are now seeking a digital sales account lead to work in our Queens, New York offices.
Responsibilities include:
*Point person for distribution partners and DSPs including; iTunes, Google Play, Pandora, Radio, Deezer, Spotify, YouTube, etc.
*Develop marketing strategies for VP new releases and catalogue campaigns with digital partners, pitching for features
*Evaluating analytics across various platforms - interpreting data to strategize and evaluate campaign results.
*Monitoring sales activity, product positioning and sales statements from partners to maximize sales potential for VP products.
*Collaborate with digital team in the creation of digital advertising campaigns
Job requirements:
• 2 to 4+ years digital sales / digital strategy or related experience
• Strong knowledge of social media and developing online platforms for monetization
• Established relationships with the primary digital service providers (iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, VEVO, etc.) and key developing accounts
• Marketing and pitch experience to effectively secure digital placements and opportunities
• Familiarity with D2C platforms (pledgemusic, bandcamp, etc.) and campaign experience
• A basic knowledge of reggae and Caribbean music preferred
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to identify and achieve individual goals.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and remain organized within a fast paced environment.
• Excellent written, communication and reporting skills.
• Some domestic travel required US and Caribbean to support projects and company efforts.
• Must be well organized and an ambitious self-starter.
