Summary
We are looking for an Audio QC Technician to join our VSI Los Angeles Office, operating within the audio department. This position will report to the Head of Technical Operations. Responsibilities will include quality control (QC) of programs, creation of QC reports for action by other departments and assistance in several inter-related departmental tasks.
The QC Technician will be focused on audio QC, work in Pro Tools using final stems, and be required to evaluate content for a variety of issues. The QC Technician will be required to produce reports once competed which the mix team will utilize in fixing content before delivery. The QC technician might also be asked to perform A-Level QC (Multi-pass) as required by external clients - all audio related. Finally, the QC Technician will be asked to assist the Media Services department with tasks where needed.

Be responsible for noting issues regarding (not limited to)
- Sync
- Audio artifacts
- Mix parameters
- Missing content
- Faithfulness to original version of program
- Quality against other episodes in the series
- Interface with Media Services and Mix departments
- Perform light audio editorial for mixer where needed
- Understand company workflow and troubleshoot issues that affect QC and progress of content completeness
- Assist Media Services with departmental tasks where needed (ingest, upload, transcode, session prep, etc)
Required Skills and Experience
• Good working knowledge of digital audio and video formats, frame rates, and deliverables commonly used in dubbing and/or post-production workflows
• 2+ years in related department or field
• 1+ years as a QC technician
• 3+ years of Pro Tools experience preferred
• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and discretion
• Ability to successfully multi-task, meet deadlines, and manage multiple and often changing priorities and issues
• Excellent at problem solving, taking initiative, and being resourceful
• Ability to identify and anticipate source Audio and Video issues
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Office
• Familiarity with industry standard media transfer protocols and archival methods
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Secondary language(s) preferred but not required
