Role Summary: Responsible for advancing Vocal Podcast Network's vision by producing and managing video/audio podcast content, coordinating production activities, collaborating with marketing teams, and ensuring the high-quality delivery of video/audio podcast episodes. This role will be project based, and there will be opportunity to work across other shows in the Vocal Podcast Network portfolio. Ideally, this producer has a passion for sports-based content.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the booking and scheduling of guests
Contribute to the selection of guests and topics, show research, host prep & scripting
Schedule podcast shoots (both remote & in-studio), coordinating with talent(s) and production team
Proof podcasts in post-production, ensuring quality and adherence to standards
Work with advertising agencies to integrate advertisements into episodes
Compose and compile podcast episode descriptions, including resource links
Research SEO optimization for episode title, description, thumbnails for youtube
Upload and publish all podcast episodes on audio and video platforms
Timecode best moments for the social team, interface with the social team to ensure podcast assets reach the correct platforms on schedule
Reach out to potential guests for podcast appearances
Notify guests when episode is scheduled to publish, encourage guest promotion of the episode
Demonstrate a passionate commitment to promoting Vocal's growth within the podcast world
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Communication, Media Production, or related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in podcast production or related roles preferred.
General Qualifications:
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency with podcast hosting platforms (e.g. Megaphone, Youtube).
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of podcasting industry trends and best practices.
Familiarity with social media platforms (e.g. TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube).
Familiarity with audio editing software (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition) is a plus.
Marketing experience is a plus.
