Intern - Acquisitions and Development

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Days Required: 3 days per week / 10am - 6pm

This is a part-time, in-person internship Monday - Wednesday. Office located in Hollywood.

VMI Worldwide is a production, sales and distribution company based in Los Angeles, California. VMI specializes in producing, acquiring, selling and distributing top independent films in the worldwide marketplace. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, film loving intern to join our tightly knit team. Interns will get the opportunity to work closely with all departments and develop the experience needed to have a successful entertainment career. Tasks include script coverage, film tracking, festival tracking, assisting on projects in the pre-production and production stage, servicing assistance, sales assistance, and marketing assistance.

VMI is looking for dedicated candidates with strong communication skills, both verbally and written, that can work efficiently under tight deadlines with the ability to quickly switch between tasks. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the process of independent film production and distribution in a busy, fast-paced work environment.

We are looking for someone who can start in August (preferably immediately), committing to a three-day, in-person internship at our Hollywood office. The internship is 3 months long, and will count for school credit for student interns. VMI will be more than happy to provide a letter of recommendation at the end of your internship.

Must have previous experience in writing script coverage, samples will be requested from candidates moving on to the interview phase. Any experience in foreign sales, working on film sets, marketing, and/or event planning is a plus but not necessary.
