VMI Worldwide is an independent media company, specializing in international sales, production, and distribution of feature films, documentaries, television series and music-related programming. We are located in Hollywood and we are seeking a full-time accounting rockstar to join our team!

Requirements:
• Proficient with QuickBooks Pro, Outlook and Excel
• Able to manage day-to-day bookkeeping as well as preparation of financial statements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of GAAP and film accounting
• Ability to manage a fast-paced desk with shifting priorities and tight deadlines
• Minimum 3 - 5 years similar experience
• Currently working four days in office, one day remotely

Responsibilities:
• Coding and entry of all general ledger entries and cash receipts & disbursements
• Bank, credit card, intercompany reconciliations
• A/R invoicing, aging reports, collections and settlements
• A/P including research and resolution of vendor issues
• Payroll processing, management of employee benefits
• Quarterly participation/royalty reporting to producers in accordance with acquisitions contracts
• Financial analysis, forecasting/budgeting, and cash flow reporting
• Month/Year end close, prepare company financial statements for submission to CPA
• Oversee line of credit, annual renewal, and CPA financial statement compilation.
• Responsible for all tax compliance, issuing 1099's and requesting 6166 forms.
• Special projects as needed

Not required but would be nice!
• Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
• Familiarity with human resources guidelines preferred
• Familiarity with materials servicing guidelines and business affairs practices helpful
• Experience with royalty reporting or participation statements helpful
• Familiarity with independent distribution contracts helpful
• Experience with Filmtrack software helpful
