Position Overview:
The Metadata Catalog Manager for the Digital Library will own the end-to-end cataloguing and maintenance of a customer specific digital library. The position will be responsible managing the cataloguing process and will provide training and oversight to supporting team members.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop proficiency and intimate knowledge of customer's digital library including all respective catalogued and uncatalogued meta-data in its current state
Lead cataloguing effort and train supporting staff on ingest and cataloguing processes and procedures
Work in tandem with Burbank's Onboarding team and Bangalore team that is supporting the cataloguing of metadata pre-ingest
Develop competency of various content types, where they are stored, corresponding retention policies, etc.
Work to develop cataloguing priority roadmap for customer archival data sets
Work closely with Onboarding and Client Services to formalize the workflow and ensure business continuity
Develop detailed knowledge of customer content types, brands, types of shows, seasons, variations etc.
Understand Title Metadata Hierarchy (folder structure)
Develop a working understanding of the elements being stored and how they are used by and for the client
Be able to make educated decisions around how to best archive or tag certain assets
Ability to generate executive summary for holistic inventory reporting on various stages of progress
Qualifications:
Minimum 4-5 years+ experience in working with digital formats or Post production environment
Strong MS Excel skills and fluency with large sets of data (v-look ups, running macros, filtering, pivots, etc.)
Extremely detail oriented and methodical
Ability to document and train supporting staff
Strong proficiency with online digital platforms and inventory systems
Highly organized and able to meet deadlines as assigned
Desired Skills & Experience:
Background in working with digital assets and data rich environments
Comfortable in working through dense data sets and developing logical folder structure
Team-oriented and comfortable in both human and virtual environments
