3D Maya Character Animator

Vibrant Penguin is looking for a 3D character animator with experience in Maya. Experience with Maya is mandatory. This would be a freelance position, working in the video game space.

Responsibilities:
--Design and animate photorealistic characters that talk and emote with personality
--Work with previously built 3D models to animate facial expressions
--Collaborate across departments to maintain look and quality of each character
--Interpret and implement art direction

Qualifications:
--Fluency in Maya
--2+ years as a 3D character animator
--A portfolio of 3D character model animation with realistic textures
--Preferred degree with an emphasis in computer animation, technical filmmaking, or equivalent work experience

Skills:
--Positive, solution-oriented individual with a passion for 3D character animation
--Driven individual who completes high quality work with relative autonomy
--Ability to grasp new programs and systems quickly
--Strong communication and time-management skills
--Able to prioritize and multi-task

Bonus:
--Experience working in game development
