Role Details:
As the leader of our Content Experience team, you will be responsible for implementing an in-app curation strategy that drives engagement and retention, created by Content Strategy, Brand, and Marketing. You will collaborate with cross functional teams to evolve personalization strategy, identify component use cases, and manage stunts for brands and establish voice and tone guidelines for in-app copy. Lastly, you will help the entire product organization better understand their opportunities and successes via regular business reviews. This role reports to the Head of US Product.
Your Day-to-Day:
• Work with product managers to implement Content Strategy's merchandising calendar, optimizing near-term opportunities with in-market functionality and road mapping advanced curation tactics for future campaigns.
• Drive cross-functional conversations across executive leaders to align on algorithm optimization, component use cases, meta-data tagging, and merchandising priorities like dayparting, refresh rates, and cadence of curation.
• Oversee in-app copy and ensure alignment with brand voice and tone.
• Oversee curation tooling and CMS decisions ensuring scale and efficiencies.
• Regularly conduct executive-level stakeholder reviews to share and monitor goals and progress.
• Partner with Market Research, Design, Engineering, Partnerships, Marketing, and Strategy to deeply understand the competitive landscape and make informed decisions.
• Collaborate with product team leads to set meaningful metrics for in-app content performance.
• Oversee daily optimization of merchandising using dashboards and performance benchmarks.
• Lead your team in the development of appropriate prioritization of content based on business goals.
• Ideate and implement themes and beats that will surprise and delight our audience, driving discoverability.
Qualifications:
What you bring to the team:
You have:
• Ten years in content and product marketing, digital marketing, streaming, or related field
• Experience managing large teams and achieving business goals
• Extensive experience managing multiple competing priorities and working with partners to make difficult prioritization decisions
• Excellent communication skills to all levels of the organization
• Track record of driving successful partnerships, internally and externally, that translate into business value
• Collaborative spirit with key organizational areas: Content Strategy, Curation, Brand Management, Engineering, Marketing, Analytics, and others
• A deep passion for and understanding of the streaming space
