Vice President, Media Planning & Analytics - Entertainment & Youth Brands
Overview and Responsibilities
We are seeking a Media Planning, Data Science / Architect to lead to work directly under and alongside the Chief Marketing Officer and EVP, Digital Studios at ViacomCBS. The VP, Media Planning & Analytics will architect best in class system for the strategic planning, scheduling and optimization of our vast portfolio of owned media while using the best of the best in tech/AI. The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious with the experience to evaluate, identify, frame, develop and perfectly execute a toolkit of solutions that will improve the impact, effectiveness and efficiency of our owned media. The ideal candidate will be a clear and persuasive communicator who thrives in a highly collaborative team environment. We need someone who is able to cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of parties including internal stakeholders, 3rd-party vendors, and operational areas within ViacomCBS. Above all, the VP, Media Planning and Analytics must be highly driven with an exceptional work ethic, determination to overcome complex challenges, and must have a desire to make huge impact on the business.
Responsibilities:
• Act as a core architect for the development of our proprietary owned media channel planning tools and needs assessment of our resource toolbox
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs to ensure alignment on the development and build of systems that solve business problems and are driven by AI and Machine Learning
• Establish owned channel planning best practices to be utilized across all Viacom teams; revisit annually to ensure best in class approach
• Stay on top of the tech, consumer and entertainment landscape to ensure best in class approach to systems and strategic approach
• Immersion into each brands objectives, goals, audiences in order to identify opportunities / synergies that could inform owned channel planning approach
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree with 10 years experience with the application of data science and advanced analytics techniques with media
• Knowledge of AI driven automation and other relevant tech to drive decision making
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and media research/reporting resources
Additional Qualifications
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze raw data and turn into actionable insights
• Familiarity with marketing and media planning principles
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including problem-solving and ability to convey technical findings in layman’s terms
• Able to confidently present and “sell through” ideas at all levels within the organization
• Demonstrated competency in guiding/managing external vendors & multiple 3rd party partners
