Business Intelligence Internships - Summer 2022 (Multiple Locations)
In the ViacomCBS Summer Internship Program, interns will be working in a vibrant and inclusive environment alongside employees from different backgrounds. In addition to hands-on experience our programs include networking, mentorship, resume workshops, speaker sessions, career development, visibility to top industry executives, and much more.
Our summer internship opportunities include (but are not limited to) the below. Interested candidates should submit their application no later than Friday, December 31st. If you're selected for an interview, you'll be notified by a member of the recruiting team.
Please note: for Technical roles, we may consider candidates who are rising Sophomores, attend an accredited college and/or have completed a technical bootcamp.
Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
• Play a critical role in the enablement of meaningfully crafted analysis of the company's user experience and audience behaviors across our digital properties.
• Translate business questions from partners into detailed tracking specifications across all international platforms, including web, mobile app and emerging platforms such as OTT devices, gaming consoles, and smart tvs.
• Partner with multiple internal partners (e.g. operations, data engineering) from the org to capture project requirements.
• Storytelling through numbers: Learn how to visualize data to tell a story using visualization tools like Tableau.
• Build Reports: Learn how to use SQL queries, data and storytelling skills to put together a marketing report that is automated, easy to read, and provides actionable insights.
• Market research & Analysis Competitive Analysis / Market Intelligence.
Qualifications:
• Major in related fields (e.g. Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Math, Computer Science) and a curiosity about pursuing a career in a quantitative oriented field.
• SQL coding experience - preferably in Google BigQuery or similar cloud environments like Snowflake, AWS Python or R Programming for data analysis.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau, Google Data Studio, Looker, etc.
• Knowledge of web analytics tools (e.g. Adobe Analytics / Google Analytics) and/or tag management tools (e.g. Tealium, Ensighten, Google Tag Manager).
• Understanding of Social data, social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok), and key metrics (video views, engagements, impressions).
• Excel or Google Sheets with experience in pivot tables, VLookup.
• Ability to analyze data to identify gaps, inconsistencies and anomalies.
• Sound written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, as well as translating business requirements into technical specs for developers.
