Overview
We are looking for a Senior Manager to join the U.S. Networks Distribution Affiliate Finance team. The Senior Manager will oversee a wide range of financial responsibilities to support the U.S. Networks Distribution leadership team and business unit leaders across Finance, Marketing, Sales, Research and Product, with a particular focus on supporting OTT growth. This high-visibility role is expected to take a proactive approach in managing both the traditional affiliate and OTT accounts, which includes understanding industry trends, building and owning accurate forecasts to help achieve KPIs, and providing ad hoc analysis to support strategic business decision making. A successful candidate will see themselves as a solution provider, stay abreast of the everchanging industry landscape, help maximize the company's traditional business and facilitate shifts in the company's streaming strategy. This role reports into the Director of Affiliate Finance.
Responsibilities
In partnership with the Director of Affiliate Finance, the Sr. Manager will:
• Manage monthly accrual-based revenue, expenses and cash related transactions for both traditional and OTT accounts, take ownership in the monthly close process
• Develop and maintain monthly forecast models, as well as budget and long-range plans to ensure accurate forecasting of subscribers, revenue, signups, conversion and churn rates
• Continuously improve forecasting models to ensure data accuracy and relevance, and minimize forecast variances to actuals
• Identify and effectively communicate the revenue/subscriber risks and opportunities regarding the forecasts
• Collaborate with data strategy/marketing teams to obtain, understand and analyze subscription data to support forecasting and reporting of KPIs to corporate
• Provide ad hoc analysis on deal negotiations and pay TV to unveil business insights in supporting decision making of USND senior management team. Anticipate and address critical business questions
• Partner with the USND Sales team to understand the monthly forecasts and provide financial analysis of price tests, marketing campaigns and promotional offers
• Continuously seek automation in reporting processes and workflow to maximize efficiency and ensure deadlines are met
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required, with a focus in Finance, Information Systems, Statistics or related area preferred. MS/MBA a plus
• 5-8 years previous Finance, Accounting or Business Strategy
• A data driven mindset; strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities; high proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience working with large data sets and databases
• Solid understanding of GAAP (accrual-based accounting, journal entries, P&L analysis)

• Interest in the media and entertainment industry
• Experience working with reporting tools (Tableau)
• Experience with basic query or programming languages (SQL, Python)
• Experience with forecasting tools (Longview, TM1)
