Full Time Job
As the SOX/Financial Compliance Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operation of the SOX program from scoping to testing execution and reporting. Processes include but not limited to financial reporting, revenue, treasury, stock compensation, and benefits. This role will report to the SOX Director.
Responsibiilites Include:
Scoping
• Responsible for divisional scoping, including completion of account and risk assessment templates, risk control matrix, and development of annual test plan.
• Alignment with external auditors and management of scope changes throughout the year.
Process Documentation & Walkthroughs
• Responsible for coordination and preparation of end-to-end process documentation for all SOX process and respective annual updates. Significant interaction with divisional personnel is required.
• Annual walkthroughs, and related narrative updates, including coordination with external auditors
Quarterly Testing & Reporting
• Execute quarterly testing including managing support requests, performance of testing, follow-up with business, remediation testing
• Auditor ad-hoc queries
System Pre-Implementation Reviews
• Lead assigned reviews of new process and systems initiatives ensuring all compliance related items have been sufficiently addressed prior to go-live.
• Follow-up of post-go live items to ensure timely completion.
Other
• Provide guidance to the division, acting as subject matter expert on control related matters
• Prepare materials and participate in SOX steering committee meetings as appropriate
• Support of Financial Compliance department objectives and other projects
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of SOX compliance experience or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA Professional Certification
• US GAAP knowledge
Additional Qualifications
• Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
• Entertainment industry experience a plus
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Self motivated individual; action oriented; results driven
• Flexible and able to adapt quickly in a fast moving global company
