The Commercial Operations department is responsible for implementing and managing processes and coordinating and providing support for on air commercials related to the company's television programming distribution. This entails the dissemination of commercial materials and scheduling instructions received by client agencies. By looking at numerical comparisons and key indicators, the team makes observations and decisions based on inventory & metrics reports. The team deals with multiple avail types, categories, and lengths across all VMN networks and works to forecast inventory clearance and avails based on buy types. The team is responsible for protecting the revenue and implementing our client's needs.
Responsibilities
• Must ensure that commercials are scheduled to achieve competitive separation on product and advertiser level; receive equal rotation, and deliver as expected by advertisers
• Collaborate with P&I, Sales, and Programming to strategically handle weekly inventory and ensure units with restrictions/separation clear in their flighted weeks
• Update Sales on potential clearance issues and send pre-empted bin reports daily
• Build and run program/traffic formats in accordance with P&I capacities
• Update post log data for billing in recon when the manager is out of the office
• Ensure live linear addressable air within their windows
• Perform quality control checks on logs to avoid scheduling conflicts
• Serve as point of contact for after-hour issues
• Complete Afterburner and ADO optimization for all logs
Basic Qualifications
• 1 year in Ad Sales, preferably Traffic or Operations
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
• Experience with Wide Orbit preferred
Additional Qualifications
• Associate's Degree
• Program Tracking System & E-log experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail, work ethic and excellent judgment
• Results-oriented and able to balance multiple assignments at a time in a fast-paced environment
• Dedicated customer service skills
