Overview & Responsibilities
Senior Project Manager oversees and manages high-profile design and illustration projects supporting consumer products/product development for movies, influencers and priority intellectual properties.
Responsibilities
• Position reports to Senior Project Director of Design and Illustration
• As assigned by supervisor, or proactively, take on special projects including operations-related systems/ processes
• Mentor and coach junior level team
• Manage reference requests for confidential intellectual properties
• Facilitate watermark requests, working with Show/Theatrical Production and Production Design teams
• Build clear, concise plan to execute projects and monitor progress: Define activity, sequence of activity, estimate the duration of activity based on budget and develop schedule
• Work closely with Creative leads and organize their workloads by steering them down a clear path to final goal
• Establish and maintain relationships with Design, Illustration, Production Design, Franchise Planning, Sales, Product Development, Show/Theatrical Production, Marketing, Legal, Standards, Talent, Asset Management and International teams and external partners/freelancers/vendors
• Act as liaison between internal teams and outside agencies to keep knowledge/information flowing
• Partner on briefs/assignment sheets so that project team understands goals
• Schedule, organize, oversee and recap kickoff meetings with key partners
• For each assigned project maintain a Smartsheet schedule and store all documents and correspondence on the project management server
• Keep financial partners apprised of project estimates/actuals and acquire budget approvals
• Manage and keep detailed account of budgets for projects ranging up to $250K
• Organize and facilitate creative reviews with internal teams, Show/Theatrical Production and external partners
• Work interdepartmentally to obtain any elements needed for successful completion of projects
• Review assigned creative to confirm goals and comments are met, share each round of the project to partners, maintain records of all rounds and ensure timely feedback
• Negotiate and resolve timing, budget and scope, including vendor rates/rounds
• Communicate clearly and concisely via agendas, recaps, updates, approvals and meeting requests
• Set up vendors and freelancers in our payment systems and populate contracts and timesheets
• Process, track and digitally file billing/invoices for all requests, code each request with appropriate cost center/project # and submit to Finance
Basic Qualifications
• At least 5 years of managerial experience
Additional Qualifications
• Articulate, flexible, collaborative, approachable and maintains composure under pressure
• Accurate, detailed and deadline-oriented
• Interest in and understanding of graphics, illustration and production
• Tech savvy
• Knowledge of Adobe suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred
