What is the Role
The key purpose of this role is to ensure the timely collection of royalty revenues and payment of supplier invoices.
The successful candidate will assist the royalties and payments executive in the collection of programme and ancillary revenues from production companies and distributors, raising income invoices and tracking the income over the financial year, in the creation of purchase orders for digital department suppliers, payment of related supplier invoices and tracking costs against yearly budgets.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITES
• Reviewing royalty statements received from producers/distributors for accuracy and in compliance with contractual reporting agreements
• Notifying producers/distributors when statements are due, including chasing overdue statements
• Maintaining the distribution tracker, updating it with information from producers/distributors and Legal/Programme Finance
• Identifying producers who fail to report revenue on time and escalating as appropriate
• Collection of other ancillary income including clip sales & music publishing revenue
• Creation of Purchase Orders for digital department suppliers
• Processing of supplier invoices and liaison with centralised payments department
• Maintaining records of POs by updating the PO/invoice trackers
• Resolving queries as they arise and escalating as appropriate
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
• Experience of working in a royalty department in a TV or Media environment
• Experience of reviewing royalty statements and interpreting legal agreements
• Knowledge of raising purchase orders on a PO system and maintaining PO records (desirable)
• First-class communication and organisational skills
• An ability to develop relationships with a variety of professional contacts, both internal and external
• Proactive, resilient and an ability to both cope under pressure and work to tight deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail
• An ability to analyse data
• Strong numerical skills are essential
• Good Excel skills
