Description
ViacomCBS Podcasting is looking for a Project Manager on multiple audio programs across CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon and all networks within our portfolio. The production is fast paced working on a combination of long term series as well as immediate projects, both with fast turnaround. Additionally, this position serves as a daily point of contact for all Post-Production related items including pilot review, R&D audio research, episodic rough edit reviews, supervision of library ingestion, legal review, standard methodologies and more.
Responsibilities
• Manage the Production team, freelance producers and engineers
• Handle all requested equipment for producers, hosts, guests and studio
• Be a liaison between Television Production and Podcast Production on related projects
• Assist Development Executives with new show pre-production
• Book additional freelance producers, engineers when needed
• Coordinate recording sessions, sitting in to assist when necessary
• Provide feedback throughout the production process to guide edit decisions
• Lead delivery timelines for assets across projects
• Serve as main point person for day-to-day operations across multiple podcasts
• Coordinate production and asset delivery with Marketing Department
• Handle, maintain and train all aspects of RSS Feeds
• Handle contracts with outside vendors
• Track and run finances, including purchase orders
• Supervise payroll for all freelancers, talent, etc
• Work directly with Senior Management
Qualifications
• Manager level experience (or similar)
• Experience in podcast production and/or podcast operations
• Proficiency in content production processes, equipment and software
• Excellent budgeting (bidding & actualizing) skills
• Experience in researching and hiring both short-term and long-term freelancers for a variety of projects, i.e.: podcast producers, editors, engineers, etc
Additional Qualifications
• Ability to work with talent, business partners and internal partners
• Excellent at problem solving and building workflows, methods and infrastructure
• Efficient working with Google Docs, Sheets, MS Word and Excel, Adobe and Photoshop a plus
• Capable of balancing projects simultaneously, with a strong emphasis on organization and attention to detail
