Overview & Responsibilities:
The Manager, Licensing has an opportunity to work across the entire ViacomCBS portfolio with some of most iconic properties in entertainment including but not limited to Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central, Paramount, and CBS! In this exciting role, the Manager will oversee existing licensed partnerships to ensure the successful development and launch of products. They will also develop quarterly revenue estimates and budgets, negotiate and execute deals with new or renewing licensees, manage and maximize our existing account base, lead product development for all products while partnering with Consumer Products, Marketing, and Creative Resources.
Responsibilities
include but are not limited to:
• Provide support, information and materials for licensees in order to enhance development of new products and continued retail expansion of existing products
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Assist with quarterly forecast analysis
• Partner with Consumer Product business leaders, Franchise, Press, Global Creative Group, Finance, Operations, Standards, and Legal to provide the best possible support of all ViacomCBS franchises
• Collaborate with Retail Development teams to ensure licensees are up to date on all major retail initiatives and are actively pitching products for all key seasons throughout the year
• Daily communication with Global Creative Group to coordinate all product approvals and any rush requests
• Provide access to exclusive artwork as needed
• Assist with development of plans and strategies to grow business and yearly revenue by managing existing partnerships and outreach to secure new business
• Analyze and negotiate new business deals and seek opportunities for growth across new product categories and retailers
• New licensee set up including Deal Memo set up, D&B health checks, and Creative 101's
Basic Qualifications:
• 5 years working in licensing/marketing/Consumer Product sales role
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management skills and organization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Additional Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of the e-commerce landscape preferred
• Goal setter to meet department objectives and develops operational plans and processes
• Can work independently as well as collaborate with teams
• Leads or contributes to complex projects and develops solutions
• Flexible and able to adapt to diverse projects and competing priorities
• Able to creatively solve problems with an out of the box mentality
