Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated creative with a keen eye to oversee editing, retouching and distribution of still photography on a variety of keystone CBS shows. This is an exciting role in the CBS Network Photo Publicity Department! Our ideal candidate will be familiar with the storylines, editing imagery for various verticals including social media, marketing, and publicity while keeping an eye on air schedules. Editors will conduct talent approval and execute retouching for episodic and gallery photography. This position will have a savvy aesthetic, staying abreast of current visual trends. A thorough understanding of the technical and production related aspects of photography is appreciated. With a strong desire to constantly refine and improve the process and final product, producing edits that are impactful and on brand.
Responsibilities
• Edit, retouch, and input metadata for episodic and gallery imagery collaboratively with internal partners, distribute to teams within ViacomCBS and provide to press
• Produce screen grabs to supplement episodic coverage
• Conduct talent approvals and retouching approvals when necessary
• Store and maintain an archive of images in a variety of cloud-based platforms
• Edit and distribute imagery for events on and off site depending on event
• Maintain workflow of paperwork for onboarding vendors and billing
• Stay in-tune and work collaboratively on creative direction of show photography with Publicists, Photo Producers, marketing personnel, photographers
• Work with legal on clearances and contract execution
• Producing from time to time may be required
• Develop and maintain relationships with a variety of press outlets and internal partners
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Photography, Art, or related field
• 2- 5 years of experience editing, ideally within entertainment
Additional Qualifications
• High level understanding of quality output in terms of composition, color and retouching
• Experience with editing platforms such as Digital Fusion and Photo Mechanic
• Working knowledge of Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suites, and Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail, organized and savvy with time management
• Proven ability to manage high volumes of work. Demonstrated prioritization, planning, and task delegation under tight deadlines
• Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of Local 600 and 667 union rules and guidelines a plus
