Overview and Responsibilities
This position is an active contributor in the highly-energized Global Program Acquisitions Group that works across multiple brands platforms. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that licenses a record amount of series and movies for a suite of networks and services. This group is considered marketplace leaders by crafting creative deals that secure A-list product. This individual will work with Dept Execs to provide acquired content analysis, data and business intelligence reporting, forecasting, industry overviews and build and generate high-level media insight presentations. Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities and knowledge of basic statistics is required. Highly-motivated candidate must be a self-starter, detail-oriented and a forward-thinker who is able to jump in & anticipate the needs of a fast-paced, deadline-oriented department. You must be a strong communicator who can analyze data easily and explain complex concepts in high-level formats. Must have excellent organizational, written & computer skills and thrive in a dynamic and high-reaching environment.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze performance of acquired product utilizing research tools and resources to identify key metrics, trends and insights
• Provide interpretive data analyses and develop presentations that efficiently convey findings
• Collaborate with Data Science/Research teams to communicate department needs and develop tools and processes to deliver on those
• Monitor regular reporting of program / service performance & industry/competitive trends to help drive strategy
• Build research summaries and regularly present applicable insights to department
• Review deal proposals with a focus on ratings estimates, scheduling plans and usage
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years experience in TV research/programming
• Expertise using viewer-insight software, including Nielsen, and understanding of digital marketplace research initiatives
• Excellent mathematical abilities and knowledge of basic statistics required
• Bachelor’s degree and strong computer skills required, including in-depth knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
Additional Qualifications
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with ability to transform data into high-level Corporate presentations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, fast paced environment without sacrificing accuracy and attention to detail
• Knowledge of program acquisitions and exposure to deal negotiations preferred
• Creative and strategic thinker with strong presentation background and a passion for the business
• Must show the ability to deal effectively with senior management and a detailed understanding of the TV industry
