Job Overview
We are seeking a Director to join our Business Analytics, Planning, and Strategy Team for CBS Studios / CBS Network Entertainment. The position works closely with the CBS Studios / Network Entertainment executive leadership and finance teams to provide business analysis and help guide the decision-making process.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the SVP, Business Analytics, Planning, and Strategy, the position will:
• Lead deal analysis & series greenlight process for both CBS Studios and CBS Television network projects, ensuring financials are presented accurately and concisely
• Conduct ongoing analysis of key business drivers, trends, and performance indicators
• Partner with key FP&A, Strategy, Business Affairs, Production, Production Finance, and Creative executives to develop financial models
• Continuously improve forecasting processes and systems
• Further develop current long range planning model to be a more dynamic/useful planning tool
• Support the development and implementation of the new ViacomCBS ERP/planning system
• Provide key inputs to FP&A team including a comprehensive list of series production assumptions (for both in-year forecasts and Long Range Plans)
• Carry out other ad-hoc analysis as needed
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• MBA or CPA preferred
• Minimum 7 years related experience
• Investment banking or management consulting experience preferred
• Media/entertainment experience strongly preferred
Additional Qualifications
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
• Must be detail oriented with the ability to coordinate and prioritize to meet deadlines.
• Requires strong analytical skills to analyze financial data
• Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with Oracle, TM1 and Cognos helpful
