Overview and Responsibilities
Are you interested in joining the ViacomCBS Music Library team? If you are an enthusiastic, organized, proactive and curious individual with the solid experience detailed below, this is a role of interest to you!
• Overseeing music deliverables across the ViacomCBS music library and associated music administration processes.
• Tracking all library music and related rights information,
• Ensuring accurate metdata deliveries from external music libraries and composers.
• Receive, vet and process all metadata for the ViacomCBS Music Library.
• Maintain multiple tracking reports and advise status of metadata delivery to internal departments and library partners.
• Receive, vet and upload metadata into internal cue sheet and library systems.
• Assist in composer music delivery process; gather and approve all final music deliverables.
• Send and track composer payment requests.
• Analyze music data and provide reporting to support internal music initiatives
• Set up producers & editors with access to Viacom Music Library
• Assist VP & Manager with music library marketing materials.
• Build and cultivate good working relationships with production, music libraries and MLS staff by maintaining constant communication and status updates.
• Assist with additional music operations projects as needed
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience at an entertainment company, television network, production company, or music production studio, required.
• Experience in music, business affairs, rights & clearances, data management, or licensing departments, highly preferred.
Additional Qualifications
• Ability to accurately analyze contract and license agreements.
• Ability to effectively interact with a range of personalities and styles to establish and maintain relationships with various departments at ViacomCBS worldwide.
• Must be able to communicate company requirements to internal and external partners effectively and persuasively.
• General understanding of the legal issues that affect music rights.
