We are looking for a Coordinator, Content Protection to join our team!
Under supervision of the senior content protection team, you will be evaluating alleged infringing uses of ViacomCBS intellectual property online, and employ social platforms', online marketplaces' and vendors' tools to send initial infringement notices for enforcement.
Responsibilities
• Use enforcement tools and manual searches to detect and remove unauthorized uses of ViacomCBS content;
• Conduct preliminary ownership, infringement, fair use assessments;
• Assist in responding to infringement inquiries and concerns from clients across all ViacomCBS divisions;
• Master the tools made available to rights owners on social video services, marketplace websites and vendor portals;
• Compile and submit infringement notices using platform tools, forms and email to report rights infringements;
• For live evening and weekend events, assist with copyright infringement detection and notice sending;
• Keep accurate, searchable records of notices sent and responses received;
• Prepare concise reports and summaries to raise legal issues to attorneys
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 years of experience in the legal field
Additional Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree preferred;
• Possesses experience with internet investigations, social media, content rights, in-house law department or law firm work;
• Interest in the practical applications of intellectual property, particularly rights enforcement;
• Experience with YouTube Content ID and/or Facebook Rights Manager;
• Familiarity with ViacomCBS brands and properties;
• Strong organizational skills;
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and internet applications;
• Ability to multi-task and handle a steady stream of assignments;
• Demonstrated interest in learning new technology
