Overview and Responsibilities
The Marketing & Partner Insights Analyst will be responsible for supporting the research needs of Viacom’s young adult brands for our sales and marketing teams and for supporting key research projects and initiatives.Responsibilities include:
• Support research needs of National Ad Sales team with ad hoc requests and special projects
• Utilize cross-platform viewership data (linear, digital, and social) to create thoughtful and innovative audience analyses in order to best position and distinguish our networks in the marketplace
• Draw insights from secondary sources to establish value of Viacom networks to advertising partners
• Keep on top of Industry trends and key consumer insights
• Produce essential reports that keep sales informed and provide strategic positioning for our networks and digital platforms
• Present network and program performance metrics, competitive advantages, and thoughtful research stories to Ad Sales in regular meetings
• Support Managers and Director on additional projects as necessary
Basic Qualifications
• Experience with R or Python strongly preferred
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of media metrics/math and measurement methodologies
• Experience with linear ratings systems (Nielsen TV Toolbox, Star Media, Lake 5, etc.) and/or digital measurement systems (Omniture, comScore, @Plan, etc.)
• Knowledge of syndicated data systems (MRI, YouGov, Kantar, etc.)
Additional Qualifications
• Highly organized, strong attention to detail, and ability to work in fast-paced environment and multitask
• Internship with national cable or broadcast network
• Related college degree
