Overview & Responsibilities:
Our global music team is looking for a Senior Digital Producer in NYC. This is a hands-on creative role for someone who is a music-obsessed creator to work on one-of-a-kind global events such as the MTV EMA and iconic music franchises such as MTV Unplugged! Our ideal candidate will bring an affinity for music, passion for all things trending across social, as well as possess a wide range of production experience from digital short-form to live production. The candidate must provide samples of social video to be considered for the role.
Specific responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Acts as lead digital producer on projects, as assigned by the VP
• Runs day-to-day digital/social video production, deliverables and edits (mix of text, graphics, photos, animations, emojis and everything in-between)
• Comes up with creative ideas and produces digital and social content for multiple markets (including hands-on producing, budgeting, scripting, production team management, rights & clearances and post-production supervision)
• Possesses experienced understanding of social platforms and algorithms that affect day-to-day publishing and content strategy including how to optimize video with metadata and stills
• Writes, pitches and revises creative video treatments
• Traveling to set and on-location when needed to create content, execute social integrations and meet with producers, talent and influencers
• Leads complex live global event production across multiple social accounts /platforms
• Partners with global teams to develop compelling creative for social platforms in support of music programming
• Ensures consistent video content and quality, helping produce the best content possible within a set framework (budget, availability of resources and schedule)
• Ensures efforts address localization for our markets and understands how to create video templates as well as localize content directly
• Collaborates with larger team on creation of content publishing plans while evaluating audience consumption
• Handles day-to-day vendor invoicing
Basic Qualifications:
• 5 years working in digital content development and production, ideally in music and events
• A deep understanding of creating video for digital platforms and story-telling for social platforms, including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Instagram Stories, Facebook, Snapchat etc.
• Expert knowledge of YouTube (Premieres, Live, ContentID etc.)
• Ability to bring all types of video ideas to fruition
• Demonstrated experience working with vertical video production
• A self-motivated all-rounder; confident shooting for broadcast, directing talent, researching and writing scripts
• Experience working with high-profile talent, as well as social influencers
• Extensive knowledge of the technical areas of digital production, including cameras, edit systems and live streaming
• The ability to tackle assignments/projects and see through until completion is key
Additional Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Able to edit videos
• Experience in an international environment
• Able to speak another European language
• Creative thinker – enjoys generating innovative ideas and solutions, devising new and exciting ways to engage audiences
• A calm and diplomatic approach to working with multiple cultures and personalities, particularly in times of stress
