Our Viacom Ad Solutions team is a leading innovative advertising organization that delivers the advertising revenue across all Viacom media brands using cutting-edge research, data, partner marketing, and sales strategy approaches. We work creatively across all media platforms – TV, digital, social, experiential/ live events, emerging platforms; and all audiences – from young kids with the Nickelodeon brands, to Millennials with brands like MTV and Comedy Central; as well fans of TV Land.
We are currently searching for a Vice President, Digital Ad Solutions to join our team. This highly visible role will partner with the Senior Vice President in achieving our sales revenue goals, developing strategic account plans for assigned clients and shaping the future by developing new revenue streams and forward the overall digital video strategy in the market and internally on the teams.
Job Responsibilities
Negotiation and Sales:
• Achieving the Ad Sales revenue goals across Digital Video
• Shaping and leading the upfront and scatter Sales strategy for the Agency/ies to grow non-traditional and zero share accounts with the SVP
• Ensuring deeper access within the Assigned Agencies, all year long.
• Always keeping an eye to the greater good of the Ad Solutions Group Budget
Communication and teamwork:
• Collaborating with the other VPs nationally to create a cohesive sales group
• Providing regular updates on status of team budget to team EVP ad hoc updates as needed
• Communicating frequently with the P&I group to understand overall budget / account status, inventory and pricing strategies, and to provide updates on major clients/ agencies as requested
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
Additional Qualifications
• Ability to anticipate how consumers interact online; an understanding of digital trends and opportunities.
• Experience working in media is strongly preferred.
• Experience and success with impression based selling Strong inventory management and pricing skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to share knowledge with a wider sales team who are not fully focused on but still contributing to digital sales as a mentor and guide.
• Extremely organized and detailed with strong project management aptitude.
