How do I hire a Senior Editor, Books For Young Readers? The Simon & Schuster Books For Young Readers imprint is looking to hire a Senior Editor that will report to the Editorial Director of the imprint. Responsibilities will include: acquiring and editing high value commercial properties for the imprint for all age ranges-picture book expertise essential and some graphic novel experience preferred. The Senior Editor will edit 15-20 frontlist titles a year plus paperback reprints. This will include a combination of managing existing valuable properties and acquiring and growing a high-profile list. The Senior Editor will share the responsibility of managing an assistant editor with an Editor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 6 years' experience is required plus strong agent and industry contacts.
High energy and drive are also crucial for this role.
