The Sr. Business Analyst, PMO Operations will be in a highly multi-functional, general analytic role where she/he is a contributor to identify strategic opportunities for the team through rigorous analysis and rapid execution of structured solutions. You will focus on inspiring change and governance through PMO metrics and tooling in order to support the PMO in achieving a higher maturity across Media & Technology Services. The role will interact with many roles across the organization from leadership to the team level to ensure the projects are satisfying their return on investment and delivering to their identified objectives. You will also work in close coordination with the PMO strategy and governance lead on the toolsets to ensure that the data meets their needs.
• Interpret, evaluate and interrelate data and develop integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making
• Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends from mass data sets
• Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement
• Develop fact-based measurements of business performance in collaboration with management
• Improve systems by studying current practices; crafting modifications
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports
• Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures
• Examine, report and communicate results of impact and initiatives to partners in leadership and technology teams
• Regularly review and evaluate opportunities to improve the project management standard methodologies to achieve higher maturity in PPM
• Collaborate with functional management teams and key business partners to design, develop metrics that enable success and change within their departments
• Regularly review and evaluate opportunities to improve the project management standard methodologies to achieve higher maturity in PPM
• Work with multi-functional teams to optimize processes that support our strategic initiatives and help to build capabilities that support an effortless customer experience
• Assisting in the labor capitalization process as well as all communication and reporting
• Analyze and support improvement in existing business processes, presenting recommendations to executive leadership
• Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of any changes
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in discipline such as: engineering, technology, or business discipline preferred
• 2 years’ experience in data driven business analysis and project management in a fast paced, deliverable driven environment
• Strong analytical background operating with large data sets to identify trends and actionable insights
• Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills
• Experience working with JIRA/Workfront/Confluence
• 2 years experience using process improvement/Lean methodologies
Additional Qualifications
• Proficiency in Tableau or other data visualization and analytics tools preferred
• Understanding of agile and waterfall project management methodologies
• Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt preferred
• Superb communication skills, collaborating with multi-functional teams
• Entrepreneurial spirit or prior experience in a high performance, fast-paced industry
• Strong business insight, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business units
• Proficiency in Excel is required
