Full Time Job
The Product Manager, Ad Platforms plays a meaningful role in ensuring that Viacom has the needed technology and product offering to support its global digital advertising businesses. You will play a key strategic, consultative and operational function to ensure that Viacom is able to monetize its digital products via a scalable suite of high quality ad offerings.
• You lead agile product development for advertising specific platform capabilities.
• You act as lynchpin in assessing and resolving technical, product and operational issues.
• Develop deep partnership with program management office to handle project and program budget, resource allocation and delivery
• Identify and drive delivery of new platform capabilities that improve the ad product offering, drive increased revenue yield or improve operational efficiency
• Facilitate communication across the organization on product specs, feature sets current projects and upcoming priorities
• Manage critical third party application partnerships, evaluate new partnership opportunities
• Maintain deep familiarity with digital ad tech ecosystem in order to act as a subject matter expert internally, understand and participate in the development of industry standards
The team runs the technology that powers the ad supported video experiences across all devices all brands globally. This includes the following:
• Custom video ad integrations on all platforms including custom ad reporting and advanced analytics.
• HTML5 player for web, Chromecast, Xbox
• iOS native player for iOS mobile, tablet, and TVOS
• Android native player for Android mobile, tablet, Android TV, Amazon FireTV
Proprietary server-side ad insertion (SSAI) platform which facilitates digital ad insertion on all platforms. Includes the following features:
• Direct integration with Viacom’s CMS and global content workflow to build HD HLS streams for all content
• Server-side ad fetching and transcoding with audio level normalization.
• Dynamic, Frame accurate ad insertion
• Custom big data analytics and alerts to track key KPIs on ad delivery
Basic Qualifications
• 3-5 years of Product Management Experience
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Experience with video players, ad technology, or similar media platforms strongly preferred

• Product leadership: Can drive an initiative from conception to maturity by identifying a business opportunity and developing a technology solution that contributes value to the customer
• Interpersonal skills: You can clearly communicate technical concepts to a broad range of audiences
• Technical skills: Ability to lean in on technical details if needed
• Analytical abilities: Adept at using data to inform decisions and able to get hands dirty with data if necessary
• Executional chops: Can process a large volume of work in an ambiguous and fast changing environment. Can manage a complex project with many dependencies by seeing the big picture, managing the details and risks
• Generalist/expert: Enough of a generalist to see products from all perspectives (ops, sales, tech, research, finance) with a corresponding ability to go deep into the details of Viacom’s ad platforms
• Resourcefulness: Finds a way to get from point a to point b when the answer isn’t obvious
