WHAT IS THE ROLE
• This role supports and deputises for the Navigation Producer, working alongside the Channel5 Presentation team, Media Planning, Broadcast Operations and Continuity. Responsibilities include entering and checking on air graphic items, editing clips and the delivery of projects to transmission. You will also be required to assist in QCing and Logging of Channel5 programming.
• Use the media planning grids to enter detailed navigation information into What’s ON scheduling system.
• Ensure the accuracy and suitability of on-air items.
• Sign off channel graphics, and make all necessary changes – prior to transmission – by working with channel schedulers.
• Produce promo clips independently using Adobe Premiere and by liaising with the Creative team.
• Produce IPP images in After Effects.
• Produce Milkshake tagging in Photoshop.
• Provide support and cover to the Navigation Producer.
• Quality Check programming
• Logging of Channel5 Programming
WHAT SKILLS DO YOU NEED
• Good PC skills including Microsoft packages.
• Some knowledge of Adobe packages.
• Passion for TV and an awareness of on-air branding.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Be able to prioritise effectively and display strong organisational skills.
• Be able to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
• Work as part of a team.
• Be prepared to take on additional responsibility when required.
• An empathy with Channel 5’s brand and core values, combined with a strong desire to contribute to the channel’s continued business success.
