The MTV and VH1 Ambassador program is an exclusive opportunity for college students and recent graduates to get hands on production experience at one of Viacom's top producing networks. Ambassadors will be paid a competitive rate of $15/hr, however school credit will not be available. Candidates must be available a minimum of 3 days per week for program length September TBD (start date TBD) - December
TITLE:
Brand Creative Production Ambassador
DEPARMTENT OVERVIEW:
The MTV Brand Creative department is responsible for all MTV promotion (commercials, trade copy and big idea stuff). We are a team of writers, producers, directors, editors, coordinators, and production assistants that work to turn ideas into polished, attention-grabbing and entertaining advertisements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following responsibilities are to be fulfilled effectively and efficiently. They include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Help prep for shoots (sourcing props, locations, wardrobe, crafty; prepping payroll paperwork; making cue cards; equipment pickups)
• Help wrap shoots (finding freelancer VINs for shoot timesheets, organizing p-card expenses, equipment drop-offs, wardrobe/prop returns, making wrap books for producers)
• Work on shoots (acting as PA's on set)
• Obtain assets for post-based spots (pulling footage, episodes, and promos from our various databases and delivering them to producers; assist in CDC organizational planning and delivery)
• Research (production-related research, e.g. researching union affiliations of theater venues in the city)
• Provide general assistance to producers in the On-Air Promos department
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Microsoft word, office, and excel
• Ability to multitask and complete tasks with efficiency
• Close attention to detail
• Excellent communication (written, oral, interpersonal) and organizational skills
