Full Time Job
Distribution & Business Development is the department responsible for negotiating distribution agreements, maximizing revenue, and marketing opportunities from traditional (Comcast, DirecTV, Verizon FiOS, etc.), digital (Amazon, Hulu, etc.) and new media distribution channels while ensuring that fans can discover and engage with Viacom content on every available device and platform.
Job Summary:
This position is a Marketing Coordinator within the Distribution & Business Development division reporting to the Manager/Senior Manager. The primary function of this position is to help execute overall partner marketing objectives and strategies in conjunction with various cable, satellite, telco and digital partners to drive distributor and Viacom revenues, reinforce the value of the Viacom Media Networks’ brands and increase exposure and ratings.
Responsibilities
include:
• Assist the Manager in the development and execution of partner-specific marketing campaigns and partnerships across the portfolio of brands.
• Develop creative briefs and manage brand message, image and presence in the routing and execution of partner campaigns and materials.
• Act as brand liaison and forge relationships and ongoing dialogue with channel contacts (Marketing, Programming, Creative, Research, Legal, Press etc.) in order to share information with the department and distribution partners.
• Maintain all account and brand information including programming calendars, promotion trackers, marketing newsletters, ratings trackers, Viacom affiliate website, and other relevant Viacom systems.
• Research and identify industry trends that will affect network distribution and marketing plans in the short and long-term.
• Design campaign recap decks and collaborate with peers to share best practices to recommend partner campaigns and opportunities.
• Attend channel and account meetings to capture and relay important information and priorities to relevant parties internally.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree; at least 1-2 years of professional marketing experience
• Interest in and passion for entertainment, media, emerging platforms/media apps/tech, and client service
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Additional Qualifications
• Proficiency in Photoshop desirable
• Organized, detail-oriented, ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Outstanding written and oral communications skills as required to interface across multiple levels and groups
• Proactive self-starter and team player, ability to learn quickly, be flexible and adapt to changing industry and organizational landscape
