Overview
What is the role
The Lead Engineer Hosting Operations & Support, will lead the London support team responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining services and support which provide key Hosting and cloud Infrastructure services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the technology disciplines described; adopting change and looking at future technologies to greater improve the efficiencies and service to which they are responsible for. Leading the team and providing line reporting support and mentorship, promoting positivity to encourage success.
• Technology ownership of the Hosting and enterprise platforms (on-prem and cloud), day to day operations and support, looking at available technologies and road maps to enable greater performance, integrity and efficiencies
• Work with global technology leads and owners to ensure standardisation, use the available global resource to plan and develop solutions, ensuring international critical needs are reviewed and applied where appropriate
• Escalation management pertaining to the availability, security and performance of all online machines, in both the production and development/QA environment
• Ensure delivery against global and local business strategic objectives that utilise/maximise the overall technology infrastructure as directed
• Actively work with vendors and suppliers to keep abreast of new technologies and innovations, providing proposals for change where appropriate
• Ensuring participation in service relationships with third party ISPs and other providers in order to maximize performance and availability for all Viacom International hosted services.
• Actively promote team collaboration with global transparency, providing senior level technical assistance
• Embrace the ‘One ViacomCBS’ approach and encourage collaboration and team working
• Be an ambassador for all VCNI channels, internally and externally
• Adopt and promote the ViacomCBS values and support a culture of inclusion
What skills do you need
• AWS Certification or equivalent experience
• Good time management with ability to prioritise multiple tasks
• A strong enthusiasm for technology with confidence in generating, documenting and implementing procedures
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Demonstrates thoroughness and attention for detail
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
• A very pro-active nature and constantly looks for improvement opportunities in whatever they do.
