WHAT IS THE ROLE
The Junior Scheduler is responsible for executing accurate schedules for transmission
• Carry out daily checklist to prepare accurate schedules for sending to playout providers.
• Process spot files from Sales and send complete schedules to playout providers.
• Inputting continuity items and information to set deadlines and liaising with the continuity team ref. schedule changes and updates within the schedule.
• Work with the sponsorship team to update rotations, and accurately process and schedule credits.
• To view and log programmes taking into account transitions, commercial compliance and editorial judgements.
• To provide cover for other department members in their absence in some areas.
WHAT SKILLS DO YOU NEED
Skills
• Experience within the broadcasting industry desirable.
• Some knowledge/experience of Whats’On or other scheduling systems preferred.
• Good PC skills including Microsoft packages.

• Display initiative and be adaptable to change
• Be able to prioritise effectively and display strong organisational skills
• Excellent team working skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with different levels within the company
• Have a proactive approach to finding creative and diplomatic solutions
• The ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure
• Be prepared to take on additional responsibility when required
• An empathy with the Channel 5 brand and core values combined with a strong desire to contribute to the channels continued business success.
