What are the department
We are the award-winning design arm of the newly formed V Creative. We get the opportunity to work cross brand, platform and projects from rebrands to campaigns to working with external clients. We are passionate about what we do, and thrive off collaboration.
What is the role
The Junior Motion Graphics Designer is responsible for assisting on all day-to-day design requests for the creative services team, using the adobe creative suite to create, key art, press images, promo graphics across all channel 5 brands.
• Creating motion graphic content, including promo graphics, on-air channel branding, navigation, and any bespoke visuals, marketing campaigns.
• Recreating, adapting and animating existing graphics.
• Designing off-air print materials for press and marketing purposes, and assets for use online.
• Keeping all channel style guides up to date.
• Providing general technical support to the creative department.
• Contributing ideas in creative meetings.
• Storyboarding ideas for any variety of live action, illustration or graphics concepts
What skills do you need
• Qualification in a relevant Moving Image Graphics course
• Solid experience in a similar role
• Previous experience in the multi-channel television market, Knowledge of Post Production techniques and formats are a plus
• Interest for TV broadcast design, passionate designer, eager to learn more
• Good knowledge of the Adobe creative suite
• Cinema4D knowledge and interest in using external renderers is a plus
• Ability to multi task, plan and prioritise workload
• Good sense of humour and motivation
• Team player
Candidates must be able to provide a showreel that demonstrates experience with animation and understanding of graphic design principles.
