Full Time Job
The Paramount Credit Administration Department is seeking a qualified candidate with experience in the preparation of theatrical screen credits and review of advertising & publicity materials. Qualified applicants must be extremely detail-oriented and willing to work in a fast-paced team setting. They must also have exceptional communication skills and be able to effectively and professionally collaborate with all levels of studio management and outside production personnel.
Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to:
• Prepare main titles, end titles and paid advertising memos for films from all three divisions - Paramount Pictures, Paramount Players and Paramount Animation
• Handle the distribution of screen credit and paid advertising documents to in-house production, post production, marketing, music, labor and legal departments, as well as to production personnel
• Obtain waivers and approvals from applicable guilds and unions (DGA, WGA, MPAA, Editor’s Guild and Art Director’s Guild), as required
• Review screen credits and paid advertising for film acquisitions and studio co-financed films, to confirm credit compliance with contractual and applicable guild requirements
• Review and approve advertising materials including print & audio/visual materials, press notes & releases, for compliance with contractual and applicable guild requirements
• Review Academy Award Consideration forms for the studio’s released films each calendar year
• Approve award advertisements and screener packaging for AMPAS, HFPA, SAG and BAFTA
• Analyze and interpret contracts for credit templates
• Provide accurate and prompt responses to credit inquiries from studio executives, guilds and production personnel, as requested
Basic Qualifications
• 7 years of credits experience at a motion picture studio or major production company
• BA/BS Degree (strongly preferred), or equivalent work experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Additional Qualifications
• Thorough knowledge and relevant experience with theatrical credit rules, procedures, practices and trends is required
• Able to effectively work with studio and production personnel of all management levels
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously under limited supervision
• Meticulous proofreading skills and keen attention to detail are a must
• Must be well-organized and maintain thorough work files
• Ability to function actively and cohesively in a team environment
• Must be an analytical thinker and a gifted problem solver
• Due to exposure of confidential information, a high level of discretion is imperative
