Velocity Operations team is responsible for improving efficiency and effectiveness across Velocity’s marketing and creative organization to drive revenue growth and future opportunities. The team focuses on people, process, technology, finance, and communications (both internal and external). The Director is a high profile position that will lead cross functional team(s) ensuring the elevation of Velocity’s operations around planning, strategy, and execution. You will develop insights and recommendations for our business (keeping in mind the broader marketplace) in an effort to maximize short and long term goals, spearhead high-level company forecasting, and act as one of several internal architects across Velocity. The Director will be instrumental in understanding the impact of industry trends and organizational changes to the team structure, providing rationale for change based on business needs and analysis. The director will also develop ideas to both encourage internal sharing throughout the Velocity teams and highlight Velocity successes throughout the organization. You will report to the VP and be responsible for managing and training a team.
Responsibilities:
• Liaise with multiple business areas (ad sales, research, pricing & inventory, production, etc.) and work in cross functional teams to improve existing and/or define new business workflows and process
• Develop business cases based on direction from senior management
• Understand the ad sales systems ecosystem and identify areas where automated business process for marketing and creative teams could be beneficial
• Develop requirements and implement intuitive, streamlined, and simple solutions with the internal technology team and potential third party vendors
• Manage the day to day tracking and reporting of the marketing budgets across headquarters, production, and trade as well as perform quantitative and qualitative financial analysis
• Lead budget planning and the creation of the final presentation to senior management
• Enhance current financial process to ensure accurate reporting as business strategy and needs change
• Work on special projects and ad hoc requests as needed
Basic Qualifications
• 5-7 years of experience at a media, entertainment, consulting company and/or marketing, advertising agency. (Preferably completed or working toward your MBA)

• Well-organized, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
