The Comedy Central, Paramount Network, TV Land Strategic Insights & Research department is looking for a Director to join the Marketing & Media Insights team. The role is primarily responsible for developing audience and marketing insights through advanced multiplatform analytics, with a focus on Nielsen data analysis. Reporting into the VP of Marketing & Media Insights, the position requires a deep understanding of marketing strategies and analytics on linear, digital and social platforms. The Director will primarily work on marketing-related as well as some more long-term strategic projects related to our audience and their connection to content. The ideal candidate is an expert Media Researcher with a real passion for television.
• Support the marketing department with audience insights and strategy recommendations that lead to more effective creative and conversion
• Provide analyses that generate a deep understanding of our target audience, content perception and marketing opportunities
• Lead marketing campaign tracking and evaluation efforts with an emphasis on effective cross platform marketing return on investment
• Synthesize findings from various research sources (syndicated, social listening, primary research, etc.) on cultural and marketing trends, and disseminate it in an engaging and thoughtful way
• Work closely with Multiplatform Analytics colleagues to make sure research is communicating a holistic story of the performance of our brands and key franchises
• Dedicatedly seek out and evaluate new resources, tools, and partners to ensure that we’re using the most current and effective methodologies
• Develop a strong working relationship with colleagues across multiple teams within the organization
• Partner with VP of Marketing & Media Insights to handle workflow and priorities
• Lead and mentor the team’s junior team member
Basic Qualifications
• At least 5-7 years of related Media Research experience, preferably at a content brand
• Bachelor degree or higher
Additional Qualifications
• Shown deep understanding of Nielsen data analysis with the ability to turn complex analyses into clear, easy-to-understand “storytelling” presentations
• Experienced presenter who is comfortable presenting to partners and senior staff
• Highly organized, collaborative self-starter with the ability to work under pressure, set priorities, handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent social skills which will enable candidate to interact with a wide range of personalities and establish effective relationships at all levels of the organization
• Experience with multiplatform analytics tools including Nielsen TV Toolbox, Star Trak, Lake5, Arianna, Canvs, Nielsen SocialGuide, ComScore, YouTube Analytics
• Experience leading and developing direct reports
